Magazines
AFL Record
The AFL Record has been the official publication of the Australian
Football League since 1912. Over the years it has transformed from
a pocket book used to identify player numbers into a first-class sporting
magazine with quality feature articles, high-end design, stunning
photography and the most up to date AFL news.
The AFL Record features the latest in club and AFL news, offering
team lists information, player profiles, statistics and in-depth interviews
with players and coaches.
The 2006 AFL season is shaping up to be bigger then ever with more
blockbuster games, more themed rounds, and more initiatives to ensure
that every fan will want to get their hands on a copy of the AFL Record.
The AFL Record has an average circulation of 60,000 copies weekly,
and we also produce special editions focusing on the AFL’s themed
rounds. Crowd attendance increases, so too does the circulation of
the AFL Record offering potential advertisers maximum exposure.
Eight versions of the AFL Record – one for each game –
are published each week during the season, with more than 207,000*
people across Australia reading it weekly. (*source: Roy Morgan Research
– September, 2005) The AFL Grand Final Record is our biggest
edition of the year – the souvenir Record is available in newsagencies
one week before the Grand Final and also sold around the MCG on match
day. Circulation is approximately 140,000 copies.
